This course reviews the ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine methods of inquiry, observation, auscultation, olfaction, and palpation. It integrates them with the classical methods of tongue and pulse assessment and with the differential diagnostic procedures based in the Eight Principles, the Zang Fu Organs, and the Five Elements Theory. The purpose is to determine prevailing patterns of disharmony or disease. Also, it uses facial characteristics namely markings, shapes, and colorings as evidence of emotional dysfunction, physical energy blockages, and organs imbalance. |
