This course has 45 hours with lab. It provides students with essential
medical knowledge and a broad understanding of human disease. It focuses on the
cause (etiology), the mechanism of development (pathogenesis), the alternations
of structure and forms (morphology), and functional alternations
(pathophysiology). This course links science and medicine. It discusses aspects
of patient care, from diagnostic testing and treatment to using new techniques
and preventing disease.
This course is required for "Certificate of Science for Healthcare
Providers."
