This course has 45 hours with lab. Anatomy and Physiology includes
foundational concepts related to the structure and function of the human body.
It focuses on histology, internal and external structures of the body and their
physical relationships. It discusses the functions of all major systems of the
body including the nervous, musculo-skeletal, circulatory, respiratory,
digestive, urinary, endocrine, integumentary system, immune system, lymphatic
system, and reproductive systems. This course provides laboratory activities
that include the use of the scientific method, observation of the tissue
specimens via microscope, and dissection labs.
This course is required for "Certificate of Science for Healthcare
Providers."
