What's Lymphtic Drainage Massage?

Lymophatic Drainage massage is a gentle form of massage used to relieve painful swelling in your arms and legs caused by lymphedema. lymphedema happens when your tissues retain fluid lest behind after your cardiovascular system sends blood to your tissues and organs. Lymohedema often affects people recoving form breast cancer surgery. The remaining fluid called lymph. your lymphatic system collects your lymph and returns it to your heart via network of lymph vessels and lymph nodes.

A massage therapist uses lymphtic drainage massage techniques to move lymph from your tissues to your nodes, which eases the swelling in your tissues.

Massage help anxiety and depression

Massage can lower stress levels and feelings of anxiety. It can improve mood and relaxation while increasing confidence and self-image. If you experience depression or anxiety, or are just overloaded with extra stress, massage can be an effective part of the treatment.

Our licensed massage therapists will assess your health condition and severity and adopt traditional Chinese acupressure points to lower stress and anxiety. For example,

Pressure point Extra-1 is also called Yin Tang. It is at the midpoint (the center) between your eyebrows (see Figure 1). Doing acupressure on this point can help with stress and anxiety.

Massage help with Inflammatory Bowl Symptoms (IBS).

For a majority of sufferers, IBS symptoms are aggravated by certain foods and stress. However, most experts agree that stress and food sensitivities do not cause irritable bowel syndrome. Despite its unidentified origins, IBS can be controlled largely with dietary adjustments and stress management.

For massage therapists, helping clients release stress typically has a dramatic effect on lessening unwanted intestinal symptoms. For this reason, a traditional relaxation-based Swedish Massage lessens IBS severity in many people.
